Salary: approximately £36,000
Cumberland Building Society offers a wide range of financial services to approximately 140,000 customers. It is one of only four building societies to offer a full current account service and aims to deliver a level of personal customer service which is better than any other building society or bank in the UK.
A key factor in the Society’s continued success is our Customer Service department based in Carlisle. This provides the operational support for our 33 branches and 140,000 customers and we are looking to recruit an outstanding individual to help manage and develop this team.
The successful applicant will be required to manage operational procedures in a number of business areas as efficiently as possible, whilst maintaining a market-leading level of customer service. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well organised and have the proven ability to work under pressure and achieve challenging deadlines.
Reporting to the Society’s General Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of staff and must have proven success in managing and developing people. Attention to detail, rigorous planning and project management skills will also be required.
The successful candidate will already have a broad understanding of the UK financial markets, systems and regulations and will be required to gain an understanding of a wide range of IT systems.
